Maruti Swift Dzire sales up by 31.5 percent in April

Again, Maruti Suzuki India Limited's super compact sedan Maruti Swift Dzire has done very well. Maruti Swift Dzire reported an increase of 31.5 percent in sales at 15,510 units in April 2012 as compared to 11,797 units sold in the same month of last year. Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki's total sales up by 3.4 percent at sales of 100,415 units in April this year against total sales of 97,155 Maruti cars in April 2011.

It has drive past the competitors like of Toyota Etios, Chevrolet Aveo, Volkswagen Vento, Nissan Sunny, and so on in terms of sales in the month of April this year. Due to buzz demand the new Maruti Swift Dzire manages the waiting period of around 4 to 5 months but this problem will be solved very soon, because MSIL is increasing the production capacity of diesel engines. Right now the demand for diesel versions of all the available Maruti cars is more than petrol versions, thus MSIL will soon start producing 1.5L engines, and after it will produce 1 lakh diesel engine per annum.
