Mahindra launches Scorpio LX 4wd

Mahindra & Mahindra, the country's largest Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) marker has recently offered a 4x4 wheel drive version for its popular model Mahindra Scorpio LX which was available only in 4x2 wheel drive option. The company has offered 6 models in Mahindra Scorpio such as VLX, VLX AT, SLE, LX, EX and Getaway. Before the launch of Mahindra Scorpio LX 4wd, only Getaway and VLX were having only this 4wd variant but now the three versions of Scorpio are available in this range. With the launch of this 4x4 wheel drive version of Mahindra Scorpio the company hopes good sales of this brand against some of rivals.

Mahindra Scorpio LX 4wd price is Rs. 9.18 lakh at ex-showroom Delhi which almost Rs. 1.2 lakh more expensive than its 4x2 wheel drive sibling. It comes equipped with 2.2-litre MHawk engine that makes out maximum power of 120 bhp and peak torque of 290 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission same as 4x2 wheel drive version. But the expected Mahindra Scorpio LX 4wd mileage is less than rear wheel version. And it would provide average mileage of of about 8 to 9 kmpl. But with including this new version Mahindra Scorpio has been strong model and capable to brake the market share of Chevrolet Tavera, Force One and Tata Safari.

Mahindra Scorpio LX 4wd features and specifications are mostly same as the current running 4x2 wheel drive version and some of newly included features are Manual HVAC, rear AC vents, power windows, tilt-adjustable steering, manual central locking, Tachometer, dual trip-meter, shift-on-the-fly 4WD system with High / Low ratio, Side impact beams, load-sensing brakes, crumple zones, Two 12 V power sockets, Roof rails, pintel hook, silver steel wheels, bonnet scoop, rear spoiler, matt bumpers etc. On the Internet Mahindra Scorpio LX 4wd pictures available which appear just like its base rear wheel drive version.

This newly launched 4x4 wheel drive version of popular Mahindra SUV has shift-on-the-fly and Borg-Warner transfer-case system that transmits power to the front-wheels as well at the flick of a switch which is very well admired by Mahindra Scorpio LX 4wd review. Overall, now the Mahindra Scorpio is more powerful model than old one and expected to accomplish tremendous response from customers.
