Renault India has planned to bring a storm in the Indian compact SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) car segment very soon! The company is ready to launch its much awaited and beautiful compact SUV Renault Duster in India by very near future. To make it popular into the Indian buyers, the French auto major displayed the Indian version of Renault Duster at the New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 which is very well admired by auto enthusiasts. In the first quarter of year 2012, the company will be launching this compact SUV in India.
Renault Duster's expert reviews and news indicate that it will be offered in very competitive price range. As per speculations the new Renault Duster price will be in the between Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh at ex-showroom Delhi. In this price range, the new launching beast will be giving a rigid competition to Mahindra Scorpio, Tata Safari, Force One, Ford Ecosport and Maruti Ertiga as well as Tata Sumo Grande in terms of performance and mileage.
Renault India will offer both petrol and diesel models of the much awaited SUV Renault Duster to the Indian customers in this price range. The petrol version of the compact SUV will have a 1.6L petrol engine under the cap which is capable of generating peak power of 105bhp at 5750rpm and massive torque of 148Nm at 3750rpm. On the other hand, Renault Duster diesel version will come powered with a 1.5L diesel motor that generates max power of 105bhp at 5750rpm and highest torque of 148Nm at 3750rpm. Both the version of the SUV will come mated with a 5 speed manual transmission system.
Renault Duster features, which will be offered as standard by the company are fully closeable AC vents, meter console, power window switches, red gauges with a digital display in the centre, spacious head room/ leg room & shoulder room, power steering wheel, Airbags, ABS, EBD, Break Assist and so forth. Meanwhile, the number of comfort, convenience and safety features is expected to be increased. Along with features, the company will also make the Renault Duster mileage impressive for both petrol and diesel models.
After successful launch of Renault Fluence premium sedan, luxury SUV Renault Koleos and newly launched premium hatchback Renault Pulse; Renault Duster will be the fourth new car model in the stable of Renault India which is expected to gear the sales mark of company.
