Good news for the Chevrolet Sail enthusiasts that this new launching premium hatchback from the stable of GM India, will be running on the Indian roads in festive season of Diwali this year. It is too confirmed that Chevrolet Sail will be served in both petrol and diesel models with a large number of variant choice. Meanwhile, Chevrolet Sail price will be joining the premium hatchback segment at Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 7 lakh.
Ahead of the launch and after Chevrolet Sail pictures, it is intimated a competitor of Hyundai i20, Skoda Fabia Scout, Renault Pulse, Maruti Swift, Volkswagen Polo, Fiat Grande Punto and so on popular big hatchbacks. Because, the announced and spied Chevrolet Sail features prove it a premium hatchback as well as good competitor of all these above same segment cars.
About the Chevrolet Sail mileage, GM has already made announcement that it will class-leading because, petrol version of the vehicle will carry already test and well admired 1.2 litre S-TEC II petrol powerplant, while diesel model will have the world famous Fiat made 1.3 litre multijet diesel engine under the cap.
Chevrolet Sail will be placed as successor of popular hatchback Chevrolet Beat and it will be replacing the flop Chevrolet Aveo U-VA hatchback into the Indian domestic market. Whereas, GM India has plans to bring this symbolic Sail brand in sedan segment that might get launch in India by the start of next year against Toyota Etios, Volkswagen Vento, Tata Indigo CS, Nissan Sunny and Maruti Swift Dzire.
Along with Chevrolet Sail hatchback and sedan, the American car maker has plans to launch the new Chevrolet Captiva SUV and Chevrolet Enjoy MPV in India by near future which have already been displayed at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo.
